Since then it’s expanded and now occupies half of the top floor of the 1 in 12 Club, along with a cafe and printing press. We have a large collection of books and journals and host regular events including a radical poetry reading series, a no homework necessary book club, a film club and music.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n 56a Infoshop is a radical social centre in South London that has been running as a non-profit, volunteer space since 1991. In that time we have been archiving material . The archive now contains an estimated 20,000+ items. The collection is mainly from the 1980\u2019s, 1990\u2019s and 2000\u2019s but some special sections within the archive do go back further. Alongside regular magazines and pamphlets, we have maintained an amazing mass of leaflets and ephemeral papers from different anarchist and social movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n BASE (Base for Anarchy and Solidarity in Easton) is a social centre with many parts. The library and archive occupy an upstairs room in the building. It contains a large collection of radical books, zines, pamphlets and ephemera from Bristol and around the world. The Collection is based at the JB Priestley Library, University of Bradford BD7 1DP and is open to the public.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Feminist Library<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Feminist Library is a large collection of feminist journals, books, zines and ephemera based in Peckham, South London. Alongside hosting our historic collection, we are also a hub for grassroots groups to meet, organise, and raise consciousness. This ranges from lesbian history groups and queer poetry workshops to abolitionist teaching & learning and organising meetings. We make space available for local groups organising for their liberation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kate Sharpley Library exists to preserve and promote anarchist history. We publish a bulletin, have co-published various books and have an ever-expanding website:<\/a>https:\/\/www.katesharpleylibrary.net\/<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The London Community Video Archive (LCVA) collects, preserves and shares community videos made between 1969 and 1994 in London and the South East.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n MayDay Rooms is an archive, resource space and safe haven for social movements, experimental and marginal cultures and their histories. Our building in the centre of London contains an archive of historical material linked to social struggles, resistance campaigns, experimental culture, and the expression of marginalised and oppressed groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n The Notts Queer History Archive is a community-led grassroots history project based in Nottingham. It was set up by CJ De Barra in 2022 and now holds 195 oral history interviews, 1240 items and 800+ newspaper articles. It has produced three books, Queer Nottingham 1960-2019, which are available through Five Leaves Publications. The archive hosts regular events across the UK that highlight the importance of radical Queer archiving and finding hidden LGBT+ stories.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n The Sparrows’ Nest library and archive is based in Nottingham (UK). We curate tens of thousands of books, journals, pamphlets, zines, leaflets, posters and other items documenting the anarchist movement in the UK and Internationally, as well as extensive collections relating to working class and radical history in the East Midlands\/South Yorkshire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Located in Central London, the Statewatch Archive preserves historic and contemporary records (including journals, zines, pamphlets, reports, articles, books and pin badges) of influential movements concerning civil liberties and state power in the UK and Europe more generally, from the 20th and 21st centuries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Working Class Movement Library is an independent library and archive covering 200 years of working class movement history.
